Longwood Gardens holiday display

Sparkling trees, crystal sculpture and 2,000 poinsettias create holiday magic at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pa., as the 1990 Christmas display continues through Jan. 6.

Centerpiece of the display is an 18-foot revolving Christmas tree trimmed with garlands, spheres and icicles of clear glass. The display is further enhanced by 2,000 poinsettias and other Christmas and early spring flowers. Organ sing-alongs are featured each afternoon in the Longwood ballroom.

Holiday hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. including Christmas and New Year's Day. Admission is $8 for adults, $2 for ages 6 to 14, free for under 6. Longwood is on U.S. 1, three miles north east of Kennett Square. For information, call [phone].
