William A. Renzi, a native of Baltimore and an associate professor of history at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, collapsed and died at his Milwaukee home Dec. 5. He was 49.
A specialist in diplomatic and military history, Dr. Renzi had taught at the Milwaukee school since 1969 and earlier taught for a short time at the University of California at Irvine.
He earned his doctorate at the University of Maryland in College Park after graduating from Baltimore's City College and Washington College in Chestertown.
Survivors include his mother, Olga Renzi of Pikesville, and a sister, Judy Brown of Hummelstown, Pa.
Funeral services were held Dec. 8 in Milwaukee.
