Sister Gustave Primary teacher

A Mass of Christian burial for Sister Mary Gustave Finotti, S.S.N.D., a retired primary school teacher who specialized in reading, will be offered at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Villa Assumpta, 6401 N. Charles St.

Sister Gustave, who was 81 and lived in retirement at Villa Assumpta, the motherhouse of her order, died there Wednesday in her sleep.

From 1954 until 1982, she taught first, second or third grade at St. Mary's School at Bryantown in Charles County, then tutored there for two years.

In the 1939-1940 school year, she taught at St. Leo's School in Baltimore. After 1983, she taught in Roxbury, Mass., and Camden, N.J.

She is survived by a sister, Frances Mudd of Sacramento, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.
