Patterson defeats McDonogh, 65-55

Westminister falls despite Costley's 43

Frank Harden scored 17 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead visiting Patterson (2-1) over McDonogh (2-1), 66-55.

Derek Hosley scored 15, and Kenneth Clark added 14 points and 14 rebounds for Patterson.

McDonogh was led by Ayinde Stewart (14 points) and Geoff Streat (12 points).

Herman Costley scored a game-high 43 points in a losing effort, as Westminster (2-2) fell to host Howard (4-1), 81-73 in overtime. Alec Sutton and Dax Mathews led Howard, scoring 20 and 19 points, respectively.

Shane Tanzymore's 21 points and 17 rebounds led host St. Paul's (9-1, 3-0) to an 89-45 victory over Arlington Baptist (2-4, 0-2) in a Maryland Scholastic Association C Conference game. Rob Bouse added 17 points for the Crusaders.

Tom McLemore scored a game-high 20 points, as Lutheran (4-5, 2-1) edged visiting Beth Tfiloh (0-1, 0-6), 53-51, in an MSA C Conference game. Joe Schuster led Beth Tfiloh with 18 points.

Brad Fowler's team-high 16 points led host Severn (4-1, 2-0) over Boys' Latin (4-7, 0-2) in an MSA C Conference game. Stan Ross led the Lakers with 16 points.

Girls

Carrie James' 23 points and 11 rebounds paced host North Harford (3-1) to a 73-43 rout of John Carroll (2-3). Tracy Thompson had 14 points and seven assists for North Harford in the victory.
