Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Junius Lewis, of the 3100 block of Ravenwood Road, reported that he was in the 3900 block of Hillen Road around 9 p.m. yesterday when he was accosted by two men, one armed with a handgun, who forced him to give up his money. Police said the gunman and his accomplice fled with $2.

THEFT/ARREST: Southern District -- Police arrested a man last night and were holding him at the station pending charges that he shoplifted more than $80 worth of property from the 7-Eleven store in the 600 block of W. Patapsco Ave. Police said the man was held by a store employee for uniformed district officers.

THEFT: Southern District -- Brian Faulkner, of the 2100 block of Flintshire Road at the Park East Apartments in eastern Baltimore County, reported that someone broke into his car while it was parked in the 800 block of Covington St. last night and removed property valued at more than $150.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Melvin Stickles, of the 1300 block of Kenton Road in the Hillendale section of Baltimore County, reported that he was getting out of his car in the 3800 block of Lyndale Ave. yesterday morning when he was approached by a man who said, "I want my money." Stickles told police the man then ripped open his pants pockets and robbed him of more than $80.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A desk clerk at the Drake Motel in the 800 block of North Point Road near Pulaski Highway reported that he was on duty early yesterday when two men, one armed with a handgun, entered and forced him into a rear office. The gunman and his accomplice bound the clerk before removing nearly $300 from a secured place.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Howard Lutz, of the 3500 block of Erdman Ave., reported that he had just gotten out of his car and walking toward his home early yesterday when he was stopped by a man who robbed him of a diamond ring and his cash. Police said the man then drove off in Lutz's car. Police said the value of the ring and cash was more than $7,000.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone removed two cases of beer from a delivery truck owned by the Bond Distributing Co. in the 1200 block of Bernard Drive while it was parked yesterday in the 2900 block of Hillen Road. Police said the beer was valued at more than $20.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Charles Maple, of the first block of Akin Circle in the Tidewater Village Apartments in eastern Baltimore County, reported that his car was parked in the 5000 block of Goodnow Road when someone forced open a door to the vehicle and stole his gold watch. Police said the watch was valued at $200.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A driver for the Campass Trucking Co. in the 6400 block of Pulaski Highway reported that someone removed two green tarps from his rig while it was parked near the company. Police said the tarps were valued at $300.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Dorothy English, of the 4500 block of Weitzel Ave., reported that she was in the 4700 block of Elsrode Ave. shortly before noon yesterday when she was approached from the rear by a man who stole her purse. Police said the purse contained cash and property, all valued at more than $100.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2000 block of Echodale Ave. reported that someone forced their way into his home through a living room window yesterday and removed a TV set and a VCR. Police said the property was valued at $600.

THEFT/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police responding to a shoplifting at the G.C. Murphy department store in the 3900 block of Erdman Ave. yesterday arrested a man who attempted to leave the store without paying for several sets of Christmas lights. Police said the lights, valued at more than $40, were recovered and the man was held overnight at the Eastern District station pending charges and a bail hearing.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Thurman Phillips, of the 2500 block of Harford Road, reported that someone broke into his car while the vehicle was being stored at the city's impounding lot in the 6700 block of Pulaski Highway and removed stereo equipment valued at more than $200. Police said entry into the car was made by breaking a window.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 4400 block of Woodlea Ave. reported that someone forced their way into his home through a basement window and removed stereo equipment, a ceiling fan, clothing, a school ring and coins. Police said the property was valued at more than $1,000.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Margarette Schertle, of the 3200 block of Wisteria Ave., reported that she was walking in the 3000 block of Wisteria Ave. yesterday when she was robbed of her purse by two men who then got into a car and drove off. Police said the purse contained cash and property, the value of which was $50.
