With less than a week to go before Christmas, it appears that more men than women were thinking about shopping yesterday, if not necessarily doing anything about it.
"It's Your Call" yesterday asked men and women if they had finished their Christmas shopping and if their gifts were already wrapped. About 175 men responded, compared to about 100 women. Of the men, 93 said they were finished shopping and 54 said they were finished wrapping. But 77 men said they were not finished shopping and 37 male callers still had to get things wrapped up.
As for the women, 54 were finished shopping, while 47 were not; 34 women callers said they were well-wrapped, while 20 had yet to deal with their holiday ribbons and bows.
"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically as would be done in a scientific public opinion poll.
