Man, 18, arrested in slaying of 2 teens

An 18-year-old Reservoir Hill man has been arrested for the murders of two teen-agers who were found fatally shot in an apartment at a West Baltimore public housing complex the day after Thanksgiving.

Troy Christopher Watkins, of the 700 block of Reservoir St., was arrested yesterday and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and handgun felony.

The victims, Shontae Dewars Bryant, 17, of the Lexington Terrace public housing complex in the 200 block of N. Fremont Ave., and Chinta Smith, 16, of the 6500 block of Eberle Drive in northwest Baltimore, were found shot to death in Bryant's 14th-floor apartment.

Police have not determined a motive for the shootings.
