Ruth L. Mauler Hospital volunteer

Services for Ruth L. Mauler, who did volunteer work at area hospitals, will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Loring Byers funeral establishment, 8728 Liberty Road, Randallstown.

Mrs. Mauler, who was 94, died Monday at Baltimore County General Hospital after a heart attack. She lived on Sudbrook Lane in Pikesville.

She was active in the Spring Grove Hospital Center Auxiliary and in two other groups that aided hospital patients, the Golden Rule Guild and the International Sunshine Society. She had been a member of the Howard Park chapter and later the Roslyn chapter of the Sunshine Society.

She had also been a volunteer nurse's aide in a polio ward of the old Sydenham Hospital when a son was a patient there in the 1940s.

The former Ruth Lee Weigel was a native of Baltimore. Her husband, Winfred C. Mauler Sr., owned a wholesale toys and notions company before his death in 1958.

She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Mauler of Pikesville; four sons, Winfred C. Mauler Jr. and David Mauler, both of Pikesville, Robert Mauler of Jessup and Arthur Mauler of Glen Burnie; a sister, Ellen Weigel of Millersville; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
