Alcohol eyed in fatal crash

Baltimore County police said today the use of alcohol may have contributed to the death yesterday of a Randallstown woman who was seen driving erratically on Liberty Road before her car crashed into another vehicle.

An autopsy was to be performed on the victim, Lorena Lynn Huddle, 27, of the 3400 block of Carriage Hill Circle, to determine her blood-alcohol level and if she was intoxicated at the time of the crash, police said.

Police said open cans of beer were found inside Huddle's 1988 Volkswagen Fox.

Moments before the 2:30 p.m. crash, Huddle was seen by other motorists driving recklessly, police said. Her car crossed the center line of eastbound Liberty Road near Wards Chapel Road and crashed into a westbound Ford pickup truck.

Both vehicles were demolished.

Police said Huddle was pronounced dead at the scene.
