Albert L. Galloway Sun pressman

Services for Albert L. Galloway, a retired pressman for The Baltimore Sun, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Henry W. Jenkins & Sons funeral establishment, 4905 York Road.

Mr. Galloway, who was 88 and lived in Hendersonville, N.C., died of heart failure Saturday at a hospital there.

He retired in 1971 after working in the newspaper pressroom for 40 years.

The Baltimore native had been a member of the Waverly United Methodist Church for many years.

A tenor, he sang with choral groups for several decades and directed the Waverly Men's Chorus and the choirs at the Waverly United Methodist Church and the Govans Christian Church.

His wife, the former Edith Clopper, died in 1976.

He is survived by a son, the Rev. Albert L. Galloway Jr. of Valrico, Fla.; a daughter, Patricia G. Green of Etowah, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggested contributions to the Waverly United Methodist Church.
