4 colleges get grants totaling $2.4 million

Four independent Maryland colleges and universities have received grants totaling $2.4 million from the Hodson Trust.

Johns Hopkins University, Hood College in Frederick and Washington College in Chestertown were awarded $725,000 each, and St. John's College in Annapolis was given $231,391. The grants were accepted last week at a luncheon at Baltimore's World Trade Center.
