Dish Law Set For Vote

December 09, 1990

SYKESVILLE - Three proposed ordinances will be before the Town Council for action tomorrow, including one that would allow residents to erect satellite television dishes in their yards.

The council also will consider an ordinance to reduce the annual assessment for the state's Homestead Property Tax Credit program to 10 percent. The third ordinance would revise portions of the town's public utility permit regulations.

Tomorrow's meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m., one hour earlier than usual, at Town Hall. The early start will allow time for public hearings on the three ordinances.

Also scheduled for the meeting is an update from a Maryland Department of Natural Resources representative on state plans to open some areas of Patapsco State Park for deer hunting. Some residents have voiced objection to the idea.
