Q: I want to try my hand at building model soldiers and dioramas of famous war or battle scenes. Is there a group or organization I can contact or any exhibitions where such military pieces can be seen?

A: Write to Shelly Stein, president of the Military Miniature Society of Illinois, Box 394, Skokie, Ill. 60077, enclosing $12 for annual dues and the society's bimonthly publication.

Q: I'm interested in arts and crafts style copper pieces signed with Roycroft markings. Where can I find such items and related information?

A: "Roycroft Art Metal," by Kevin McConnell, contains pictures and prices for copper Roycroft arts and crafts pieces; the book is available for $16.95 postpaid from Schiffer Publishing Ltd., 1469 Morstein Road, West Chester, Pa. 19380.
