Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Leonard Snead, of the 100 block of N. Edgewood St., reported he was walking near his home when he was accosted by two men, one armed with a piece of wood, who robbed him of $100. Police said that during the robbery Snead was struck but was not seriously injured.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- Employees of the Flippo Construction Co. in the 2700 block of Wilkens Ave. reported that someone entered one of their vehicles while it was parked on company property and removed a generator. Police said the equipment was valued at more than $1,000 and that entry into the vehicle was by cutting a lock off a door.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that someone forced a rear door of the Excelsior Cleaners in the 4200 block of Edmondson Ave. and removed $40.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Tabitha Dasch, of the 1900 block of Wilkens Ave., reported she was in the 1800 block of Dover St. Tuesday when she was assaulted by a man who robbed her of $11.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 2200 block of Tucker Lane reported that someone broke into his home by forcing a door and removed property valued at more than $700.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Betty Elroy, of the 1900 block of Lemmon St., told police she was in the 1900 block of W. Pratt St. Tuesday afternoon when she was attacked by a man who pushed her to the ground and robbed her of her purse containing $40.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police today continued their search for a man who entered the Hi-Gear auto supply store in the 4500 block of Edmondson Ave. and forced a clerk to give up the contents of the cash register. Police said the man, who was armed with a handgun, escaped with an undisclosed sum.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Tina Hall, of the 3200 block of Clifton Ave., reported to police that at her home Tuesday night she was assaulted by a man armed with a knife who robbed her of a money order and cash. Police said the combined value of the money order and the cash was nearly $300.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 4800 block of Crenshaw Ave. reported that someone entered her home Tuesday, possibly with a key, and ransacked several rooms. Police said it was not known what, if any, property was removed.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Danna Carmichael, of the 2100 block of Odell Ave. at Hollander Ridge, reported she was in the 1700 block of 62nd St. early yesterday when she was approached from behind by a man who cut her on the left arm with a knife and robbed her of more than $300. Police said Carmichael had just left a convenience store moments before the robbery and was probably seen by the man placing the money in her clothing.

STABBING: Northeastern District -- Marvin Harris, of the 7200 block of Jim Rowe Court in Hollander Ridge, reported that early yesterday morning in the 6000 block of Amberwood Road he was stabbed in the stomach by a man known to him. Police said Harris was not seriously injured and that his assailant was arrested. Police said the suspect was being held at the Eastern District lockup pending assault charges and a bail hearing before a court commissioner.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Miriam Whitehead, of the 5900 block of Sarril Road, reported that a man known to her entered her apartment yesterday morning and removed nearly $150 from her wallet. Police said the man fled and Whitehead was advised to seek a warrant for his arrest.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Kevin Jones, of the 5100 block of Darien Road, reported that while his car was parked near his home yesterday someone forced open a door and removed six cassette tapes. Police said the property was valued at $30.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1500 block of E. 28th St. reported that someone broke into his garage between Dec. 1 and yesterday and removed a 10-speed bicycle and a 20-inch bicycle. Police said the bikes were had a combined value of nearly $175 and that entry into the garage was by kicking in a door.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Rona Brand, of the 4400 block of Belair Road, reported to police that while she was in the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane around 11 a.m. Tuesday she was assaulted by a man wearing a blue ski jacket who took her purse containing more than $450.

ROBBERY TRY: Northeastern District -- Employees of Olympic Upholstering in the 6300 block of Belair Road reported a man armed with a handgun entered their business yesterday and demanded money. The employees told police the man fled without taking any money when something or someone frightened him.
