How would you describe your taste in clothing?

For dressy events, I like European or Italian clothes. For casual wear, I prefer clothes from the Banana Republic. Clothes that breathe, mostly cottons. My wife would tell you that I'm not very casual. When I come home, I don't put on sweats or shorts, I change into another outfit. I don't feel like I'm dressed unless I have a belt and shoes on.

I'm more adventuresome with work clothes, than casual. I like to buy unusual ties, ties that reflect my personality.

What's the newest thing in your closet?

pair of Cole-Haan loafers and a neat Fox Broadcasting jacket, that has leather sleeves with wool covering the chest.

What's the oldest thing in your closet?

I have the first business suit I ever bought. I'm not sure it still fits, but I don't believe in throwing things away.

What have you held on to for sentimental reasons?

have a sweater that belonged to my father back in the Fifties. It's a vest sweater piped in black and red that looks like something hipsters might wear. I've never worn it, but I may some day.

What is your wardrobe weakness?

AMy weakness is Armani clothes, whether it's socks, ties or suits. Unfortunately this is a serious weakness, because his clothes are not inexpensive.

What's the most expensive item in your closet?

probably an Armani black wool topcoat .

What's the least expensive item in your closet?

I bet I've had a million T-shirts given to me. And they're the cheapest thing in my closet because they're free. And since I'm not very casual, I give most of them away.

What's the wildest outfit you've ever bought?

Let's see, when I was 8, I had a Nehru jacket. And I was a New Waver when I played in a band and I used to wear boots, black pleated balloon pants and a cowboy shirt that had buttons on the front like a bib. I thought I looked like a rock star. That's when I wore an earring.

What are your favorite accessories?

I like watches and have about 15. My Bart Simpson, Mickey Mouse and my high tech watches are my favorites.

Do you have any shopping tips you'd like to share?

do like to shop, but look for the sale time of the year -- after Christmas and August sales. Then you can buy better clothes for less money.

If you could buy anything you wanted, what would it be?

Someday, I'd like to have a really nice house, near the water and with lots of trees, but for the time being, I have enough of everything to make me happy.
