Free coats offered for needy children

The WBAL Coats for Kids Project will distribute more than 30,000 coats to underprivileged children from Dec. 3 to Dec. 7 at Baltimore firehouses.

The coats are free to youngsters who are accompanied by a parent or adult guardian, and will be available from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Coats will be available at these firehouses:

Engine 23, 15 S. Eutaw St.; Engine 6, 1100 Hillen St.; Engine 27, 4315 Mannasota Ave.; Engine 21, 3724 Roland Ave.; Truck 12, 3901 Liberty Heights Ave.; Engine 20, 3130 W. North Ave.; Engine 13, 405 McMechen St.; Engine 33, 1749 Gorsuch Ave.; Engine 4, 1201 E. Cold Spring Lane; Engine 14, 1908 Hollins St.; Engine 41, 520 S. Conkling St.; Engine 58, 2425 Annapolis Road; Engine 35, 430 Maude Ave.; Engine 30, 3220 Frederick Ave.; Engine 17, 1426 E. Fort Ave.; Engine 34, 316 S. Caroline St.
