Louise B. Robinson, 33, of Street, has been charged by the U.S. Attorney's Office with devising a scheme to defraud the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Uniformed Services of about $19,300 between May 1986 and December 1987.

The program provides medical coverage to military personnel at civilian hospitals.

A press release issued Friday by the U.S. Attorney's Office said Robinson, an employee of the York (Pa.) Hospital, stole claims forms and prepared fictitious claims for reimbursement in the names of her mother and brother.

Robinson received payments through post office boxes she had rented with an alias and cashed the checks by forging the signature of her relatives, the attorney's office said.

Robinson, who was charged with filing false claims, faces up to five years in prison and $250,000 in fines, the attorney's office said.
