Edwards Deployed To Middle East Post

Pvt. 1st Class Sean L. Edwards has deployed to the Middle East with American military forces participating in Operation Desert Shield.

The private, a missile systems repairer with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C., is the son of Doris E. Foreman of Edgewood.

Edwards is a 1987 graduate of Edgewood High School.


Denise M. Bachman, a Bel Air resident and career Army officer, reported for duty with the Eighth U.S. Army, 23rd Support Group, Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea.

Her duty location is approximately 45 miles south of Seoul.

Bachman, recently selected for promotion to lieutenant colonel, is an ordnance officer and works as the group's head of supply.

Although her specialty is in the field of missile maintenance and government acquisition and procurement, she is looking forward to her new assignment working with soldiers in the field.

Her tour of duty is for one year.

Bachman formerly was assigned to the Chemical Research, Development and Engineering Center, Office of the Army Focal Point for Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defense, at Aberdeen Proving Ground.

A graduate of Slippery Rock State College, Bachman, a 17-year Army veteran, previously served overseas tours of duty in Korea and Germany.

She and her husband, Stephen J. Dunn, a Bel Air attorney, and their three children reside in Bel Air.
