05835182 FREETOWN SHOOTING LEAVES MAN CRITICAL

County police are investigating a shooting in Freetown late Wednesday night.

Lascells Samuels, of the 4700 block Ravenswood Road in Riverdale, was shot in the chest at about 11:30 p.m. after answering the door of a home in the 7800 block of Levi Court.

Police spokesman Officer V. Richard Molloy said Samuels opened the door to the home and then slammed it before being shot through the door.

Friends took Lascells to North Arundel Hospital. He was later taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center at University Hospital in Baltimore, where he was listed in critical condition yesterday.

MAN CHARGED AFTER DOG ATTACK

A Baltimore man was charged with battery after police said he ordered a dog to attack his wife during an argument Tuesday.

Robert Dairle Montgomery, 35, of the 300 block Fourth Avenue in Baltimore, was charged after the 11 p.m. domestic dispute.

County police said a man, who is separated from his wife, went to her home in the 100 block of North Deale Road in Glen Burnie at about 10:30 p.m. During an argument, police said the man picked up his wife, threw her across the room and ordered the dog to attack.
