Charles M. Winters, 80, a retired A&P Food Stores executive, died Monday of emphysema at his home on Beaverbank Circle in Towson.
Funeral services were being held today at the Johnson funeral establishment, 8521 Loch Raven Blvd.
Mr. Winters retired 15 years ago as coffee and dairy representative, supervising sales of those products in stores in Maryland and nearby states. He had been with A&P for 46 years.
A native of Tannery who was reared in Westminster, he served in the National Guard as a young man.
During World War II, he enlisted in the Army and was commissioned while serving with an artillery observation unit in Africa and Italy. His decorations included the Bronze Star.
