The competition, in its 17th year, is held annually by the state Department of Natural Resources to select the design for the Maryland "duck stamp," a required purchase by all who hunt waterfowl in Maryland. Entries will be accepted through March 8.
Any Maryland artist interested in entering the contest may obtain rules and agreements for the event by writing: Waterfowl Stamp Contest, D-4, Public Affairs Office, Department of Natural Resources, Tawes State Office Building, Annapolis 21401, or by calling 301-974-2035 or 301-974-3987.
