* OUTLOOK: The Capitals (13-13-0) face a formidable foe tonight in the Rangers (16-6-5), who lead the NHL with 37 points. The Rangers have produced a league-leading 107 goals and surrendered just 67, third-best in the league. The Caps are in fourth place with 26 points, but have played three more games than the fifth-place Penguins (11-10-2). The Caps continue to get fine offensive production from John Druce, who has 14 goals and 13 assists. The Rangers are led by Darren Turcotte (13 goals, 20 assists) and Brian Leetch (seven goals, 25 assists). The Rangers have won both previous meetings this season.
