How would you describe your taste in clothing?

I like classic clothes, nothing trendy, punky or outrageous.

What's the newest thing in your closet?

A pair of unusual green and purple plaid pants. I love slacks and although I should probably wear skirts in my job, I feel better in pants and a jacket.

What's the oldest thing in your closet?

A fisherman's sweater that my aunt gave me.

Do you have a true "standby" that you wear to feel good and look good?

Yes, it's a coat dress with white lapels. When I put that on with heels and jewelry, it makes me feel important.

If you had a chance to have a dinner with the person you would most like to meet, who would that be and what would you wear?

Since it can't be my boyfriend, Pat Clatchey, it would be Mel Gibson. I would wear a simple black coat dress with earrings and a necklace.

What is your wardrobe weakness?

Black shoes. Every time I see a pair, I buy them. I have more than 20 pairs of just black, I have at least 35 pairs.

What's the most expensive item in your closet?

A jacket that cost me over $180, but I could not resist because it looked great with a blouse that cost me a small fortune too. I'm only 5-foot-1, so I have lots of trouble finding clothes that say "buy me," but when I do find them, I buy.

What's the least expensive item in your closet?

A white Hanes T-shirt that I wear under a casual jacket or in the summer with shorts.

What's the wildest outfit you've ever bought?

One time I bought a totally outrageous outfit. It had black and white striped top and leggings with a mid-thigh skirt. I thought it was cute, although my roommate said, it's not me. I gave it to my cousin who's 14 and she loves it.

Have you ever worn a hat?

No, I get terrible hat hair.

Do you have shopping tips to share?

Shop until you drop. If you have the time, you will find good deals. I do a lot of comparison shopping for Marshall's and you would be amazed at the wide range of prices for the same items.
