Jacqueline Sarkin Faulkner, 42, a flutist who owned a music store, died Sunday of cancer at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Funeral services were being held today at the Levinson funeral establishment, 6010 Reisterstown Road.
Mrs. Faulkner, of Terrapin Court in Pikesville, organized Orpheus Quartet, which plays classical music at social, charitable and religious events, and had been principal flutist with the Baltimore Chamber Consort.
She taught flute until her death, and a week and a half ago judged high school students auditioning for statewide and countywide bands.
Survivors include her husband, Max Faulkner, who owns Britannia Ltd., a printing company; a daughter, Rachel Ann Faulkner; and her father, Leon Sarkin of Baltimore.
