Baltimore City

VANDALISM: Southeastern District -- Ida Hines, 40, of the 3100 block of Ravenwood Ave., reported that while she was visiting in the 100 block of N. Ann St. early Saturday vandals broke the windshield and damaged the steering column of her 1988 Chevrolet in an apparent attempt to steal the car.

ASSAULT: Southeastern District -- Robert Dernwood, of the 3700 block of Gough St., reported that he and his mother-in-law, Henrietta Bittner, of the 100 block of N. Ellwood Ave., were assaulted early Saturday in a bar in the 100 block of N. Ellwood Ave. Dernwood said he was stabbed three times in the chest after arguing with a man who threw a chair that hit his mother-in-law in the face. A 22-year-old suspect fled on foot after the incident.

ASSAULT: Southeastern District -- Lisa Sassatras, 22, of the 100 block of N. Colvin St., reported that she was kicked in the stomach and had a gun pointed at her last night after an argument in her home with Bruce Wallace, 28.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- A 20-year-old resident 200 block of S. Broadway reported that someone kicked in the front )) door to his home between 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday and stole a stereo valued at $900.

ASSAULT: Southeastern District -- Cameron Huey, 26, of the 2200 block of N. Howard St., reported that about 7:45 p.m. yesterday while he was in the 1300 block of E. Fayette St. two men approached him and demanded money. Huey said the men had their hands shoved in their pockets as though they had guns. Huey surrendered $125.

LARCENY: Southeastern District -- Thieves stole more than $200 from the cash register of the Superbrite Wash and Dry laundry in the 3800 block of E. Lombard St. between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. Friday, police were told by the management.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- Michelle Leak reported that she was robbed of jewelry valued at more than $1,500 by a gunman while she was in the 1700 block of Greenmount Ave. about 2 p.m. yesterday.

AUTO THEFT: Eastern District -- Leroy Thomas reported that he was pulled from his 1980 Pontiac and the car was taken about 2:30 a.m. yesterday while he was in the 1100 block Greenmount Ave.

SHOOTING: Eastern District -- Tracy Perry was shot once in the buttocks for no apparent reason yesterday while in the 1500 block of N. Bethel Ave. He was in good condition after the shooting and refused medical treatment, police said.

SHOOTING: Western District -- David Brown, of the 1400 block of E. Eager St., reported that while he was in the 1800 block of Moreland Ave. about 10:30 p.m. Saturday a man aged 18 to 20 approached him and shot him in the right leg for no apparent reason and then fled. Brown was taken to University of Maryland Medical Center where he was listed in good condition today.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Sharon Cash, of the 900 block of W. Lexington St., reported that about 2:30 p.m. yesterday in the 2200 block of N. Fulton Ave. a man approached her and demanded money. When she refused, the man punched her in the face and reached in her pocket and took $5.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Two youths who appeared to be in their teens attacked Michael Whitehead, of the 4100 block of Westchester Road, in the 1500 block of W. North Ave., beating him with bottles. The youths then took $50 from the victim and fled.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 1200 block of W. Lanvale St. reported that between 11 a.m. and noon yesterday, thieves broke into his house and took stereo equipment valued at more than $425.

ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- Rufus Powell, of the 100 block of N. Kossuth St., reported that he was assaulted shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday while in the 3900 block of Frederick Ave. He said a suspect struck him in the face then reached in his pocket and removed $20.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Thieves broke into the Amtrak offices in the 300 block of S. Caton Ave. sometime between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday and removed machines and other property valued at $250.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Andre Stern, of the 2100 block of Garrison Blvd.; Lester Wilson, of the 2800 block of Mulberry St.; and Lonnie Richardson, of the 2400 block of Melbourne Road, reported that they were robbed at gunpoint by two armed men about 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Glen Allen Drive. The victims said they were ordered to lie on the ground by the gunmen, who took $30 from one victim and $12 from the other.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- The management of Caton Shell service station in the 1500 block of S. Caton Ave. reported that a man approached an attendant shortly after 5:30 p.m. Saturday, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The attendant surrendered $55.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Art Buist reported that a man approached him in the 2600 block of Guilford Ave. about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, stuck a hard object in his back and announced a holdup. Buist surrendered his wallet containing $70 and personal papers. The suspect fled on foot.
