DRIVER, 53, FOUND DEAD IN HIS TRUCK

Clarksville - A 53-year-old truck driver from Linthicum was found dead Thursday in his truck, apparently of natural causes, at the northbound Interstate 95 rest stop in Laurel.

Police said that Jerry Edgar Cole was found at 6:50 a.m. Thanksgiving Day, and foul play was not suspected. The precise cause of death will be determined by an autopsy.

13600 block Route 108: Nov. 17, jewelry was reported stolen from a residence forcibly entered by an unknown suspect between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

5100 block Sheppard Lane: Nov. 18, an unknown suspect stole a 1984 Yamaha dirt bike from a residential storage shed before 8 a.m.

DATELINE: Columbia

10200 block Wincopin Circle, Town Center: Nov. 16, a suitcase was stolen by unknown suspects from the trunk of a 1990 Ford Tempo parked in parking garage sometime between 7 and 8 a.m.; no signs of forced entry.

6800 block Many Days, Owen Brown: Nov. 16, an unknown suspect stole a go-cart from back yard of residence between 4 and 6 p.m.

9400 block Merryrest Road, Oakland Mills: Nov. 16, unknown suspects stole four tires and rims from a 1984 Ford Mustang parked in a residential parking lot sometime before 8 p.m.

6600 block Dobbin Road, Long Reach: Nov. 19, an unknown suspect stole the front tires and rims from a 1982 Chevrolet delivery truck parked in a business parking lot sometime before 7 a.m.

DATELINE: Elkridge

7200 Montgomery Road: Nov. 15, jewelry was reported stolen from a residence forcibly entered through rear window sometime between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

DATELINE: Ellicott City

Route 40 and Plum Tree Drive: Nov. 14, two Anne Arundel men, ages 20 and 15, were arrested after a brief police pursuit at 4:30 p.m. on suspicion of driving a stolen 1984 Toyota automobile. A third suspect has not been arrested. Two attempted auto thefts were reported at the Plum Tree area the next morning.

3200 Normandy Woods Drive: Nov. 15, a car phone and other radio equipment were reported stolen from a 1986 Chevrolet parked in a residential parking lot before 8 a.m.

4700 Ilchester Road: Nov. 16, an unknown suspect kicked open the rear door of a residence and stole jewelry.

8900 block Town and Country Blvd.: Nov. 17, an unknown suspect cut a hole in the vinyl roof of a 1990 Isuzu Amigo at 1 a.m. and stole its stereo system. The car was parked in an apartment complex parking lot.

6700 block Old Waterloo Road: Nov. 15, three tires were reported stolen from a 1988 Ford Escort parked in a residential parking lot sometime before 6:30 a.m.
