Outlook: The Skipjacks, back from eight games in the Canadian Maritime Provinces, will play the last game of their 10-game, 20-day trip against the Rangers. The Skipjacks, who played in Hershey last night, have lost RW Bob Joyce and D Chris Felix on recall to the Washington Capitals, but have received RW John Purves in return. Coach Rob Laird hopes to have D Kent Paynter (hamstring), D Mark Ferner (concussion), D Rob Mendel (ribs) and C Alfie Turcotte (leg) back in action. Binghamton, which lost to the Skipjacks, 5-3, in the only previous meeting, has received RW Steven Rice from the New York Rangers. D Todd Charlesworth has been shipped to Muskegon of the International Hockey League. The Skipjacks will return to the Baltimore Arena tomorrow to play the Hershey Bears at 7:35 p.m., and then meet the Capital District Islanders Sunday, also at the Baltimore Arena.
