Daniel L. McGuire, a former superintendent for a construction company in the Baltimore area, died Oct. 31 at a hospital in Beckley, W.Va., after a long illness.

Mr. McGuire, who was 65 and had lived in Leewood W.Va., for about three years, moved to Farmville, Va., about 20 years ago after working 20 years for the Matricciani Construction Co.

A native of Leewood who served in the Navy during World War II, he was a member of the Mystic Circle Lodge of the Masons.

He is survived by his wife, the former Phyllis J. Mullins; two daughters, Andrea Weiss and Deborah Spence, both of Baltimore; four brothers, John M. McGuire of Cincinnati, Patrick McGuire of Salem, Ore., and Don and Dexter McGuire, both of Alderson, W.Va.; a sister, Patricia Whitt of Carbon, W.Va.; and two grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 3 in London, W.Va.
