Services for Richard C. Annan, retired head of shipping and inventory at the Western Electric Co. plant, will be held at 2 p.m. today at All Saints Episcopal Church, 203 Chatsworth Ave. in Reisterstown.

Mr. Annan, who was 80 and lived on Worthington Hill Drive in Glyndon, died Monday at Good Samaritan Hospital after several strokes.

He retired in 1972 after more than 30 years with the telephone equipment company, which no longer is in operation, on Broening Highway. Earlier, he worked for a stock brokerage firm in Baltimore.

Born in Emmitsburg, he came to Baltimore as a child and graduated from City College.

He was a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels and did volunteer work for Goodwill Industries. He was senior warden of All Saints Episcopal Church for 16 years.

He is survived by his wife, the former Josephine Clautice; four daughters, Laura D'Aiutolo of Westminster, Josephine E. Strott of Atlanta, Anne E. Nepper of Newport News, Va., and Frances E. Moser of Finksburg; two sons, Wade G. Emmett of Richmond, Va., and George C. Emmett of Wilmington, Del.; and 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
