This is a weekly summary of selected prime contracts recently awarded by the federal government to companies and other vendors in Maryland.

NATIONAL DEFENSE CONTRACTS

Welch and Rushe Inc. in Capitol Heights won a $485,500 contract from the Navy to replace the HVAC in building 427.

Temp Air Co. in Baltimore won a $387,687 contract from the Army to provide maintenance and repair of heating system in building 3490.

Tek-Lite Inc. in Union Bridge won a $290,876 contract from the Defense General Supply Center to provide a cockpit utility light for an aircraft.

Team Ace Joint Venture in Baltimore won a $167,916 contract from the Air Force to provide and install dishwashers and disposals in military family housing.

Defense research contracts

Congressional Information Services Inc. in Bethesda won a $160,000 contract from the U.S.

AInformation Agency to provide subscription services for a library reference system.
