Staff Earns Recognition

Three Carroll County public school teachers were recognized at the Board of Education's monthly meeting Wednesday.

English teachers at their respective schools, they have received notification that their school publications won awards in national press association contests.

The teachers recognized were:

* Catherine C. Berry, adviser to Westminster High's Owl newspaper -- a first-place certificate from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.

* LeeAnn W. Peck, adviser to Westminster High's Owl yearbook -- a first-place certificate from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.

* Michele L. Everett, adviser to North Carroll High's Panther's Tale newspaper -- a first-place certificate from the American Scholastic Press Association.
