Hint of summer breaks a record

November 16, 1990

Indian summer brushed Maryland today as temperatures at Baltimore-Washington International Airport reached a record 73 degrees at 12:10 p.m. That exceeded the previous record for the date of 72 degrees, set at BWI 30 years ago, in 1960.

The temperature at the Customs House downtown reached 70 degrees at midday, short of the 76-degree record set in 1928. Tomorrow should be partly cloudy, breezy and cooler, with highs in the 50s.
