ARSON/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police investigating the arson of a 1976 Cadillac while it was parked in the 3700 block of Northwood Road yesterday arrested a 7-year-old boy and charged him as a juvenile with arson. Police said the car, which sustained damage, is owned by Willie Sharp, of the 1300 block of Pentwood Road. A motive for the burning was not immediately known. Police said the youth was released into the custody of his parents pending action by juvenile authorities.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that a man in his mid-40s armed with a knife entered the Rhia's hardware and paint store in the 6600 block of Harford Road and ordered a cashier to give him the contents of the cash register. Police said the man fled the store with about $300.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 3400 block of White Ave. reported that someone broke into her garage and removed a 5-horsepower leaf shredder. Police said the property was valued at nearly $500. A tool was used to pry a door off its hinges to enter the garage.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Officials of C.T. Management in the 5500 block of Bowleys Lane reported that someone broke into their storage room and removed five 14-cubic-foot refrigerators. Police said the appliances were valued at $1,500.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Lori Taylor, of the first block of Eagles Way in the Dunfield Townhouse development in the Fullerton section of Baltimore County, reported that someone entered her office at Montebello State Hospital in the 2200 block of Argonne Drive and stole her purse. Police said the purse contained cash and property, all valued at $50.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Raymond Thompson, of the 1200 block of Kitmore Road, reported that while his 1988 Nissan was parked near his home someone removed the vehicle's plastic air spoiler from the rear truck deck. Police said the equipment was valued at $100.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Rudolph Hanson, of the 3300 block of Harford Road, reported that he was in the 2700 block of The Alameda late yesterday morning when he was assaulted by a man who robbed him of $140. Later, police arrested a 26-year-old man and were holding him at the Eastern District pending assault and robbery charges.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that the owner of Louie's barber shop in the 4800 block of Erdman Ave. was in the shop yesterday when two men, one armed with a handgun, entered and demanded money. Police said the gunman and his accomplice fled with several hundred dollars.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Employees of Solon Automated Services in the 3100 block of W. Belvedere Ave. reported that someone broke into the coin box of one of their clothes dryers in the laundry room of an apartment building in the 5300 block of Moravia Road and removed $30 in coins.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2900 block of The Alameda reported that someone broke into her home and removed a TV set, VCR, cassette player and cash. Police said the property was valued at nearly $300 and that entry was apparently gained by using a key to open a second-floor bedroom door.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police arrested a 30-year-old man and were holding him at the Eastern District lockup in connection with the burglary of a dwelling in the 1700 block of E. 31st St. Police said someone broke into the house and removed a remote control device valued at $50.

ARSON TRY: Northeastern District -- Tracee Harris, of the 6800 block of Sturbridge Drive, reported that someone threw a Molotov cocktail onto the balcony outside her second-floor apartment. Police said the device failed to ignite. Police said an -- investigation was under way.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone forced their way into a dwelling in the 3800 block of Sinclair Lane and removed cash, clothing, jewelry and video tapes. Police said the value of the property was not immediately known and that entry was gained by breaking out a pane of

glass in a door.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Delores Floyd, of the 1200 block of Sugarwood Circle in eastern Baltimore County, reported that she was in the 5300 block of Woodmont Ave. around 8 p.m. yesterday when she was approached by two men in their 20s who stole her purse and fled. Police said the purse contained cash and property, all valued at $70.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- William Fortunel, of the 1100 block of N. Carrollton Ave., reported that he was in the 5200 block of Loch Raven Boulevard yesterday evening when he was stopped by two men, one armed with a handgun, who demanded he give up his money. Police said the gunman and his accomplice fled the scene with $20 in cash.
