Anna Mae Powell Centreville resident

Services for Anna Mae Powell, a member of community organizations in Centreville for many years, will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Centreville United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Powell, who had lived in Centreville since 1949, died of cancer Tuesday at the Memorial Hospital in Easton. She was 92.

The former Anna Mae Hunter was a native of Starr. After her marriage to Royden N. Powell in 1917, they lived on Eversley Farm near Centreville until 1949. Mr. Powell died in 1980.

In addition to being active at the Centreville United Methodist Church, she was a member of the Town and Country Club and the Queen Anne Rebekah Lodge and a former memorial chairman of the Queen Anne's County Heart Fund.

She is survived by her son, Royden N. Powell Jr. of Centreville; a daughter, Shirley Powell Dean of Centreville; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
