Funeral services will take place for Churchton resident Ruth Frazier Wood at noon on Saturday, Nov. 17, at Hardesty Funeral Home in Galesville.

Mrs. Wood, 70, died of cancer on Nov. 14 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

A 1938 graduate of Southern High School in Lothian, she worked for the cafeteria of Prince George's Board of Education in the 1960s.

A member of the Methodist church, her other interests included bowling, horseshoe pitching and cards.

She is survived by her husband Raymond Luther Wood; two sons, Robert C.

Plummer III and Richard C. Plummer, both of Wheaton; two daughters, Judith A. Ramsey of Annandale, Va., and Claudia W. Neff of Akron, Ohio; a brother, Julius F. Crandell Jr.; a sister, Frances C. Greenwell of Lothian; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society.


Funeral services will be held for Ferndale resident Clarence A. Knight Sr. at 11 a.m. on Nov. 17 at Kirkley Funeral Home.

Mr. Knight, 72, died of a heart attack on Nov. 13 in Orlando, Fla.

A lifetime county resident, he worked as a mechanic for C.J.

Langenfelder at Sparrows Point until his retirement in 1980. He also served in the Army in Europe during World War II.

He was a member of Glen Burnie Moose Lodge No. 1456, Elks Club in Wildwood, N.J., and American Legion in Ferndale.

Other interests included clock making, flying airplanes, and spending winters in Ferndale.

He is survived by his wife, LaVerne M. Hook Knight of Glen Burnie; a son, Clarence A. Knight Jr. of Glen Burnie; a daughter, Irene L. Clark of Stevensville; two brothers, Marvin Knight of Nashville, Tenn., and Wilmer Lee Knight of Severn; and one grandchild.


Funeral services will be held for Severna Park resident Jean Marie Hupka at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, at Magothy United Church in Pasadena.

Mrs. Hupka, 33, died of respiratory failure on Nov. 14 at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C.

The former Jean Marie Disney worked as a secretary/typist for BG & E for five years until 1980.

Other interests included her family and horses.

She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Gregory D. Hupka; a daughter, Julia Hupka; a son, Gregory Hupka Jr.; her parents, Donald and Dorothy Disney of Pasadena; and two brothers, Donald Disney Jr. of Long Island, N.Y., and Daniel Disney of Edgewater.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 1301 York Road, Suite 705, Lutherville, Md. 21093.


Funeral services will take place for Florida resident Basil F. Dull at 1 p.m. on Nov. 17 at Oak Hill Cemetary in Clermont, Fla.

Mr. Dull, 79, died of cancer on Nov. 12 in his daughter's Annapolis home.

He worked as a fresh produce buyer for A & P Tea Co. for 39 years.

His wife, Franchell M. Dull, died in 1985.

He is survived by a daughter, Deborah Dull of Annapolis, and five sisters.
