Performers Chosen For The "Nutcracker"

Twenty-eight children from Severna Park, Arnold and Broadneck have been chosen to appear in Ballet Theatre of Annapolis' annual production of "Nutcracker" to be performed in December at Maryland Hall in Annapolis. The children were selected after auditions in September.

Playing Chinese characters are Gabrielle Kolter, daughter of Wendy and Sy Kolter, a student at Broadneck Senior High School; Dawn Blackman, daughter of Peggy and Wayne Blackman and Angela Maloney, daughter of Christine and Richard Moss, both students attend Severna Park High School.

Sara Roach, daughter of Sharon and Charles Roach, and Lynsey Schneider, daughter of Ingrid and Michael Schneider, are both playing angels. Sara attends Severn River Junior High School and Lynsey attends Severna Park High School.

Cherubs in the production include: Hilary Arlington, daughter of Janet and Richard Arlington, and Amy O'Brien, daughter of Patricia and Gary Cranford. Both girls go to Magothy River Middle School.

Playing gingerbread men are Monica Anslem, daughter of Nancy and William Anslem, who goes to Arnold Elementary; Katie Lynch, daughter of Margaret and Garrett Lynch, who attends Magothy River Middle School.

Cara Henry, daughter of Cheryl and Mike Henry, a student at Magothy Middle School; and Vanessa Thebaud, daughter of Lynda and Del Thebaud, a Severn School student, will both play "Sweets." Playing a soldier is Brandie Williams, daughter of Donna and Marshall Williams, who goes to Severna School.

Mice will be played by Darlene Maloney, daughter of Chritine and Richard Moss who attends Benfield Elementary; Julie Anderson, daughter of Wanda and John Anderson, a Folger-McKinsey Elementary student; Jillian Barber, daughter of Amy and Gregory Barber, who attends Broadneck Elementary; Andrea Buntz, daughter of Peg and Don Buntz, from Oakhill Elementary; Carlonia Pinto, daughter of Jane and Roger Flaherty, who both go to St.


Mariah Albee, daughter of Valerie and Richard Albee, from the Montesorri School; Frank Chartier Jr. student at Severn School and Jaclyn Chartier, student at Broadneck Elementary, children of Debbie and Frank Chartier; Katie Morse, daughter of Maureen and Kevin Morse, a student at Belvedere Elementary; Alicia Pettit, daughter of Sharon and Robert Pettit; Meghan Snyder, daughter of Nancy and Bill Snyder and Kimberly Fields daughter of Karen and Richard Fields, all of whose children attend Folger-McKinsey Elementary; and Stephanie Rolland, daughter of Barbara and Robert Rolland, and Cari Winterich, daughter of Cheryl and James Winterich, who both go to Broadneck Elementary; and Kellie Shannan, daughter of Kathy and Tom Shanahan, who goes to Bodkin Elementary, will play children.

Choreographed by Artistic Director, Eddie Stewart, this all-new, full of surprises production of "Nutcracker" brings back an old favorite clothed in new costumes and new sets.

There will be six performances, Friday, Dec. 7, and Saturday, Dec. 15, at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Dec. 8 and 15, at 2 p.m.; and Sundays, Dec. 9 and 16, at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $15 and $12 for adults, $8 for students. Seniors may purchase $8 tickets for matinees. All seats are reserved. Performances sell out quickly, so early reservations are advised.
