William E. Blasier Lawyer, executive

Services for William E. Blasier, senior vice president for finance and administration of the National Association of Manufacturers, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Christ Episcopal Church in Rockville.

Mr. Blasier, who was 41 and lived in Rockville, died of cancer Monday at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington.

He became an attorney for the association's Washington staff in 1977 and was promoted to general counsel before being named vice president of finance and administration. Earlier, he was a lawyer for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in the Labor Department.

The Pittsburgh native graduated from Rollins College in Florida and from the Georgetown University law school.

He was a member of the executive committee of the board of the American Diabetes Association and was a former president of its Washington affiliate.

He is survived by his wife, the former Marcia W. Wilson; two daughters, Megan and Becky Blasier of Rockville; his mother, Helen T. Blasier of Pittsburgh; a brother, Robert Blasier of Sacramento, Calif.; and three sisters, Diane Grushkin of St. Charles, Ill., Marcia Schindel of Bloomington, Minn., and Susan Butler of Lexington, Mass.
