North Arundel Hospital Clinical Pharmacist Ron Baker of Pasadena recently discussed the dangers of mixing prescription medications with Glen Burnie residents Edythe Green and Josephine Partlow during his visit to Cedar Morris Hill Senior Club in Glen Burnie.
Baker spoke to 20 seniors regarding how to properly store medications, possible side effects from misuse of medications and the importance of following a physician's instructions. He also gave private consultations to each member regarding his or her specific medication therapy and distributed hospital promotional materials, including pill boxes and 1990-1991 Physician Directories.
Baker is a member of North Arundel's Speakers Bureau, which sends experts on health-care topics to area schools, clubs and organizations free of charge.
