Water Plan To Change

November 14, 1990

The County Commissioners will have a public hearing at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the County Office Building to discuss three proposed changes to the water and sewer master plan.

With financial assistance from the state and county, Union Bridge plans to extend its water system to serve 29 homes outside the town limits.

The homes now are served by a private system on Big Spring Farm, which is owned by the Bowman family.

The commissioners also will consider amendments to the plan to support the expansion of Winfield Elementary School and construction of a new Taneytown/Uniontown Elementary. Each will need special provisions for water supply and disposal, county planners say.
