Joseph J. Gladmon

Joseph J. Gladmon, an accountant for CSX Transportation for the past 28 years, died Saturday at his home in Bolton Hill after a brief illness. He was 52.

Funeral services for Mr. Gladmon will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 1723 E. Fairmount Ave.

He was an active parishioner at St. Matt's, serving as a cantor.

A native of Baltimore, he was a graduate of City College and attended the University of Maryland at College Park.

Mr. Gladmon was well known for his creative work in the performing arts and had appeared in Broadway and off-Broadway productions. He also appeared in more than 40 musicals, mostly in the Baltimore area.

He may have been best known in the area as the choreographer and dance instructor for the Act One performing arts program at Dundalk Community College, where he taught dance to more than 2,000 students over 16 years. Mr. Gladmon had choreographed or directed more than 40 local productions.

Mr. Gladmon had been on the board of directors of Dundalk Community Theater for many years.

He is survived by his father, Temple L. Gladmon of Baltimore, and a brother, William T. Gladmon of Upper Marlboro.
