Stanley J. Hope Customs house broker

A Mass of Christian burial for Stanley J. Hope, a retired customs house broker, will be offered at 10 a.m. today at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Towson.

Mr. Hope, who was 82 and lived in the Dulaney Towers Apartments, died Wednesday at College Manor after a long illness.

He retired about 10 years ago after working for several shipping companies and being secretary to the Baltimore Chamber of Commerce, the grain exchange, where he worked for many years.

Mr. Hope was born in Baltimore, graduated from the McDonogh School and attended the Johns Hopkins University. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Kathryn Wagner; two daughters, Kathryn H. Wilkerson of Lutherville and Deborah H. Peterson of Salisbury; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
