Services for Daniel Starks, a retired construction worker, will be held at 9:45 a.m. today at the Phillips Funeral Home, 1727 N. Monroe St.
Mr. Starks, who was 73 and lived in the Basilica Place Apartments, died Tuesday of heart failure at Maryland General Hospital.
He retired nearly 20 years ago, because he was losing his sight, after working for construction companies for many years.
A native of Friendship, he served in the Army as a military police officer in North Africa and Europe during World War II.
He is survived by a sister, Ruth Flood of Washington; a brother, Albert Starks of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.
