Joseph Geiger Jr., construction supervisor

A mass of Christian burial for Joseph C. Geiger Jr., retired construction supervisor at the Homewood campus of Johns Hopkins University, was being offered today at St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church in Bel Air.

Mr. Geiger retired 10 years ago from supervising repairs and construction at the campus, where he had worked for 32 years.

Before joining the Hopkins staff, he worked as a draftsman.

Born in Baltimore and a graduate of the Polytechnic Institute, he served in the Army Air Forces in England during World War II.

A member of the Bel Air Post of the American Legion, he was fond of travel and painting. He had studied painting in Baltimore and at Harford Community College and specialized in portraits and landscapes.

His survivors include his wife, the former Dotha Moretz; ` `TC brother, James B. Geiger of Madison, Wis.; and three sisters, Rita A. Derbyshire of Aberdeen, Sister George Marie Geiger, S.S.N.D., of Baltimore, and Patricia McGee of West Berlin, N.J.
