November 08, 1990

A motorcyclist survived a head-on crash with an automobile last night in Baltimore County even though he was not wearing a helmet, authorities reported.

The crash occurred about 6:40 p.m. in the 1300 block of Old North Point Road, Eastview, when a southbound 1989 Buick driven by a 78-year-old Dundalk woman turned left at an entrance to the North Point Plaza Shopping Center.

Her car collided with a 1986 Honda motorcycle heading north, according to police. They also said the motorcyclist, Wayne M. Ross of the 8200 block of Northview Road, had the right of way.

Both Mr. Ross, whose age was not immediately known, and the driver of the car, identified as Anna S. Hollar of the 6800 block of Dunhill Road, were being treated last night at the Francis Scott Key Medical Center.
