November 08, 1990

A 36-year-old West Baltimore man told Baltimore County police that he was shot in the hand while walking his dog near Deer Park Middle School north of Randallstown yesterday afternoon.

At 4:30 p.m., Baltimore County General Hospital reported to county police that a man was being treated for a gunshot wound.

Lynnel King, who gave an address on Bentalou Street, then told officers that he was walking his dog on the grounds of the school yesterday afternoon when two men approached and asked him for a light. An argument ensued, and one of the men shot Mr. King in the hand, he told police.

He was transferred to the Hand Rehabilitation Center at Union Memorial Hospital, where he was in stable condition last night. Police said they were looking for two assailants.
