Thanksgiving memories

November 07, 1990

LEAVES are falling, there's a chill in the air and candidates have deserted the sidewalks and airwaves. That means Thanksgiving is just around the corner -- two weeks from tomorrow.

In a country made of many ethnic and religious groups, Thanksgiving stands out as a celebration shared by all. We do that in many ways -- family feasts, gatherings of friends, football games, giving to those in need.

What are your favorite Thanksgiving memories? What does the day mean to you?

We'd like to hear your stories and reflections. Keep them brief -- under 200 words -- and send them to: Thanksgiving, Other Voices, The Evening Sun, P.O. Box 1377, Baltimore, Md. 21278.

A sample of responses will be published on this page Nov. 21.
