TWO ROB GAS STATION IN BROOKLYN PARK

Two men, one armed with a gun, robbed the Brooklyn Park Shell gas station Saturday, county police said.

The police said the robbers entered the station in the 5600 block of Ritchie Highway at about 8:27 a.m. and demanded money. One of the men grabbed money out of the cash register, and the robbers left.

The police described the first robber as black, in his 30s, with a heavy build. He had a beard and mustache and was wearing a beige jacket and white sneakers. The second robber was described as black, also in his 30s, about 5-foot-10 and wearing a beige jacket.

MAN CHARGED WITH DRUG POSSESSION

County police have charged a Glen Burnie man with possession of cocaine after a traffic stop in Glen Burnie.

Christopher John Evashko, 19, of the first block Southpark Court, was also charged with possession of PCP and drug paraphernalia.

The police said Officer Douglas Ashby was working radar Friday at 11:47 p.m. on Marley Neck Road when he stopped a blue Dodge van for speeding.

When Ashby did a computer check, he found the driver was wanted on a warrant for contempt of court in Worcester County.

When Ashby searched the van, he found a small film canister with cocaine and PCP in it, police said.

He also found a pipe with marijuana residue on it, police said.

PURSE IS SNATCHED FROM HOUSE PORCH

A Glen Burnie woman's purse was stolen Saturday outside her home.

The police said the woman put her purse down on the porch of her home in the 500 block of Elizabeth Lane while she opened her door.

A man ran up and took the purse, which contained about $50 and some personal papers.

The robber was described as a black male, about 5-foot-5, wearing a blue jacket and blue pants.

MERIT OIL CORP. ROBBED BY GUNMAN

The Merit Oil Corp. in Glen Burnie was robbed Friday, county police reported.

The police said a man put a gun in the service window of the gas station in the 6800 block Ritchie Highway at about 7:35 p.m. and demanded money.

The clerk gave the robber the money and the man left.

Police said the man was white, about 35 years old, with shoulder-length sandy hair. He was wearing a light brown leather jacket and a dark shirt.

8 BOATS AT MARINA ARE BROKEN INTO

County police are looking for the person who broke into eight boats at the Pleasure Cove Marina in Pasadena over the weekend.

The police said the boats were docked at the marina in the 400 block of New York Avenue, where they were broken into between Thursday and Sunday.

The covers of the boats were ripped off and property was taken, police said.

8400 block of Maryland Road: Nov. 2, entry gained through the front door. Unknown property taken.

SEVERN:

700 block of Stevenson Road: Oct. 28, entry gained through the garage door. Unknown property taken.
