Prayers will be said for Linthicum resident Beatrice Magdalene Wickless at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Singleton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wickless, 76, died Nov. 5 at North Arundel Hospital.

A resident of Linthicum for 37 years, Mrs. Wickless was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Philip Neri church.

Other interests included sewing, knitting, bingo, watching baseball and football, and making sweaters for other people.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Joseph F. Wickless; four daughters, Mariann W. Hewitt of Pasadena, Sarah W. Knisley of Hanover, Margaret I. Hotchkiss of Ohio, and Theresa E. Owsald of Linthicum; two sons, Joseph F. Wickless Jr. of Severn and James P. Wickless of Pasadena; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.


A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated for former Glen Burnie resident Catherine Patricia Renshaw on Monday, Nov. 5, at Our Lady of the Field Catholic Church in Millersville.

Mrs. Renshaw, 83, died on Nov. 1 at Knollwood Manor Nursing Home.

She worked as a salesperson for Hutzler's.

Other interests included her family.

She is survived by two sons, B. M. Renshaw Jr. of Millersville and Clarence Renshaw of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Marianne R. Hynd of Deer Field Beach, Fla.; three sisters, Helen Thiel, Ruth Burkhardt and Margaret Samulaki, all of Detroit; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.


Funeral services will take place for Linthicum resident George Herman Swanson Jr. at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Linthicum United Methodist Church.

Mr. Swanson, 74, died Nov. 3 in Baltimore.

A resident of Linthicum for 47 years, he worked as an accountant for Shell Oil Co.

He also served in the military during World War II.

Mr. Swanson was a member of Linthicum United Methodist Church, Anne Arundel County Historical Society, Sigma Ki and Shell Alumni.

He is survived by his wife, Cordelah A. Hopkins Swanson; a daughter, Judith C. Noel of Glen Burnie; and two sisters.
