TRYOUTS NOV. 10 FOR INDOOR SOCCER

The Brooklyn Park Youth Association will conduct indoor soccer tryouts for boys and girls ages 12 and under at noon Saturday, Nov. 10, at the 10th Avenue Park.

The team will compete in the Myers Pavilion League in Baltimore. All interested athletes should wear appropriate attire to the field.

YOUTH ASSOCIATION ELECTS NEW OFFICERS

The Brooklyn Park Youth Athletic Association conducted its election of officers and board of directors, and the following officers were elected: president, Lee Godfrey; vice president, Wayne Combs; secretary, Bob Garrison; and treasurer, Nancy Slavin.

The new board of directors consists of Audrey Hall, Jack Stano, Pat Combs, Wayne Saunders and Kathy Pulz.

SOCCER TOURNAMENT TO BE PLAYED AT NIGHT

The Brooklyn Park Youth Athletic Association currently is conducting an invitational soccer tournament at the 10th Avenue Field.

Games are played on two lighted fields from 6 until 9 p.m. weeknights, and from 3 until 9:30 p.m. weekends. Refreshments are available.

SLADE SCHOOL PLANS A BANQUET

The Arthur Slade School will have its soccer awards program for its county squads from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 17.

The Slade intramural teams will conduct a banquet from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov.

ALL-STAR BASKETBALL CAMP REGISTRATION

The Chesapeake Bay Hurricanes AAU All-Star Basketball Camp for boys and girls ages 9-18 will be conducted on Saturday, Nov. 10, and Sunday, Nov. 11, at Arundel High School.

Saturday's session will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., while Sunday's session will be from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Cost for the weekend camp is $35 per participant. Teams of seven may register and receive a $5 discount ($30 per participant). Web Johnson, coach of Park School in Baltimore, will serve as camp director.

Other coaches include Gerald Moore (Arundel High), Hank Kuzma (Naval Academy) and Harry Dobson (St. Mary's High School).
