Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police today were seeking two men, one armed with a handgun, who accosted Noel Smith, 18, of the 3300 block of Athol Ave., in the hallway of an apartment building in the 5100 block of Goodnow Road yesterday evening and demanded his money. Police said when the pair found no money on Smith, they accosted Lynette Innis, 36, a resident of the apartment building as she approached them and forced her to give up her money. Police said the pair fled the scene on foot with $300.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- Cynthia Taylor, of the 1000 block of N. Broadway, reported that she was in the 1700 block of E. Chase St. around 11 a.m. yesterday when she was accosted by a man armed with an unknown-caliber handgun who demanded her money. Police said the gunman fled the scene with more than $400.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Patricia Slep, of the 1500 block of Cantwell Road in the Woodlawn section of Baltimore County, reported that she was driving her car in the 1700 block of W. Baltimore St. around 9:30 p.m. yesterday when the vehicle ran out of gas. Slep told police that while she was seated in her car, a man armed with a shotgun approached and demanded she give up her purse. Police said the armed man fled the scene on foot with cash and property, all valued at $60.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Police reported that Robert Green, 20, of the 1800 block of W. Fayette St., was in the 100 block of N. Monroe St. around 10 p.m. yesterday when he was accosted by a man armed with a handgun who attempted to rob him. Police said the man shot Green in the left leg and fled without robbing him. Police said Green was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center, where was admitted. Police said Green's condition was not immediately known.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- Denise Mills, of the 1100 block of Webb Court, reported that her purse was stolen from her yesterday afternoon by a man who approached her from behind while she walked in the 1200 block of Ashland Ave. Police said the purse contained nearly $500.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- Lena Andrews, of the 2200 block of Prentiss Place, reported that she was robbed of nearly $500 by a man who accosted her yesterday afternoon as she walked in the 1200 block of N. Rose St.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- Police reported that a man armed with an unknown hard object assaulted Darlene Burroughs, of the 2100 block of Harford Road, as she walked near her home yesterday afternoon and forced her to give up her money. Police said the man fled the scene with more than $300.

SHOOTING: Eastern District -- Police reported that Herman Comer, of the 700 block of E. Biddle St., was in the 600 block of E. Biddle St. around 4 p.m. yesterday when he was attacked by a man armed with a handgun who shot him in the left wrist. Police said Comer was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- Darlene Smith, of the 900 block of N. Chester St., reported that she was walking a block from her home yesterday evening when she was attacked by a man who struck her in the face with his fist and robbed her of more than $300.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Marvin Clark, of the 1200 block of Gittings Ave., reported that he was seated inside his car, which was parked in the 1700 block of Carswell St. late yesterday evening, when he was accosted by a man armed with a handgun who demanded his money and jewelry. Police said the gunman fled with cash and property valued at $700.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a dwelling in the 1500 block of Carswell St. by forcing open the basement door and removed a VCR. Police said the property was valued at $300.

SHOOTING: Northeastern District -- Anthony Ford, of the 6000 block of Amberwood Road, reported that during an incident in his apartment building early yesterday he was attacked by a man armed with a 20-gauge shotgun who shot him in the arm. Police said the gunman escaped and that Ford was taken to an area hospital for treatment and listed in stable condition.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that Gilson Gott, of the 4000 block of Marjeff Place in the Overlea section of Baltimore County, was in the 7200 block of Dillehunt Drive in Hollander Ridge around 9 a.m. yesterday when he was assaulted by a man who pushed him up against his van and robbed him of his wallet containing $400.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Wayne Walston, of the 5200 block of Eastbury Ave., reported that while his car was parked near his home someone broke into the vehicle and removed several cassette tapes. Police said the property was valued at $80.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a dwelling in the 1200 block of E. 36th St. and removed a VCR, several pieces of jewelry and a bank containing $100. Police said entry was gained through a rear window and that the value of the VCR and jewelry was not immediately known.
